HyperDL (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application, web application, browser extension, and licensing services (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you purchase a license, we collect your email address, name, and payment information (processed securely via Stripe — we never store credit card details).

License Data: License key, activation status, hardware ID (HWID) for device binding, and usage timestamps.

Technical Data: OS version, app version, and error logs (only when you opt in to crash reporting).

We do NOT collect: Download URLs, file names, file contents, browsing history, or any personal files. All download data remains entirely local on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To activate, validate, and manage your software license.
• To process payments and send billing-related communications.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.
• To improve the application through aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (opt-in only).
• To send product updates and security notices (you may opt out at any time).

4. Data Storage & Security

All download data, settings, and logs are stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. License validation uses JWT tokens transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data is processed by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified) and never touches our servers in raw form.

5. Third-Party Services

• Stripe: Payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Cloud Storage Providers: If you choose to enable cloud uploads (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive), your authentication tokens are stored locally and securely. We do not have access to your cloud storage.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and license data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days. Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years). You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
